Abstract: Water user organizations in Mekong Delta are diversified in terms of operation and organizational forms adopting socialization trends in on-farm irrigation management. However, the on-farm irrigation system management efficiency is low and the operation of water user groups still have problems and are unsustainable. Based on the analysis of status of irrigation management, this paper proposes models and mechanism for promoting development of Water User Organizations in the Mekong Delta.
