Summary: In new rural construction, localities always give priority to resources for infrastructure development, but the management and use of infrastructure works after investing in an effective and sustainable way has not been concerned by many localities. Rural infrastructure is very diverse (such as roads, irrigation works, rural domestic water supply works, cultural and sport facilities, etc.), each type has different technical and visual requirements and management formula. Therefore, the issue of effective and appropriate management and use for each type of post-investment project is very urgent today. This article will present lessons learned from the results of pilot construction of some models of effective and sustainable management of rural infrastructure in the Red River and Mekong Delta.
